Prepare yourself for the ‘biggest ever’ St. Stephen’s Day fireworks.
August 20 is one of the most important national holidays in Hungary. This day is a tribute to Hungary’s first king, Stephen.
This year the celebration will be as grand as you can imagine and will include everything from an aerial and water parade to gastronomy, concerts and family programmes.

- August 20th 08:00 – 9:00, state ceremonies and military parade in front of the Parliament building (Kossuth square)
- August 20th 09:00-09:45, the banks of the Danube (between Margit and Erzsébet Bridge): Aerial and water parade performed by military and civil airplanes.
