1st September marks the 10th Birthday of Budapest’s Scottish Pub, The Caledonia. To celebrate this milestone is style, they are asking patrons and friends to join them at the pub and give blood. In return, they will give anyone donating the same amount of Belhaven Black Scottish Stout, Guinness, fresh juice, a slice of cake, and even more surprises.
The Caledonia management has teamed up with the Hungarian Red Cross They pub will be set up as a blood donation centre on the afternoon of 1st September and the actual process of being tested and then giving blood should take no longer than 30 minutes in total.
HOW CAN YOU TAKE PART?
To avoid long waiting times, the staff ask that if you would like to give blood, you look at the text of the Facebook event where there is a registration sheet with available times. GOOD TO KNOW
You can’t give blood if:
– you have a tattoo no older than 6 months
– you are on medication (check with your GP if you can)
– you have had certain illness that prevents you from giving blood (again, check with your doctor if you’re unsure)
Before coming:
– please eat a full meal, and drink at least 1-1,5 litre of water, so you are not dehydrated
IMPORTANT!!! Bring your Hungarian ADDRESS CARD, ID(Passport), and TAJ card with you
