One of the coolest marketing experts in the world. An imam, who believes women will change the future of Islam. The rock star of data science. A palaeontologist, who works on resurrecting dinosaurs. What do they all have in common? They will all be there at this year’s Brain Bar!

Brain Bar, the festival of the future, returns with its most diverse and most exciting programme ever on 30-31 May 2019.

The two-day event will have guests like Frank Cooper, global head of marketing at BlackRock, and former creative director of BuzzFeed, Pepsi and the legendary Def Jam record company. The festival will welcome Sherin Khankan, the first female imam in Europe, who is campaigning for the total reformation of Islam and the fight against extremism.

Jack Horner, palaeontologist and chief adviser of the Jurassic Park movies, will also come to the Hungarian capital to talk about the resurrection of dinosaurs. The world-renowned data scientist and professor of the MIT Media Lab, Cesar Hidalgo, will be there too. His research focuses on the learning capabilities of companies and nations.

A few other names from the list of presenters:

Bryony Cole, host of the Future of Sex podcast
Kingsley Donaldson, veteran soldier and security policy expert, bestselling author of 2020: World War
Sára Fábián, social entrepreneur, founder of Amigos for Children (Amigos a Gyerekekért), a charity organisation
Ethan Siegel, theoretical astrophysicist, associate of NASA and Forbes
Claire Lehmann, chief editor of Quillette, the magazine publishing the most dangerous ideas in the world

The 5th BrainBar festival awaits visitors with a further 500 exciting presenters, the most venues so far, and a career exhibition entitled Future Jobs highlighting the most astonishing jobs of the future. The professional programme is accompanied by music and theatre performances, illusionists and a procession of food trucks.

The organisers put a lot of emphasis on enabling Brain Bar visitors to meet with their favourite performers in person too. For this purpose they designated a separate venue and time slots.

Discounted Brain Bar tickets are available online.
