Budapest Disctrict Guide

Budapest’s 23 Districts are as diverse as little countries. Each district has a distinct flavor and ambiance. The central districts (V, VI, VII) in Pest offer a wide array of sights, landmarks, museums, shops and many places to eat and entertain.

Most of the downtown areas are ideal for exploration on foot (though the city center is much larger than in Prague), but you will definitely need to use public transport as well, if you want to see the most important attractions.

Many Budapest neighborhoods have undergone major development works in recent years, with new pavements, more parks, modern street lamps, and hip street art.
