National Tea Day 2018 Budapest

The aim of the whole-day event is to acquaint Hungarian consumers and the wider professional sphere with the top-quality teas already available in Hungary and their distributors.

New partners have joined the series of events launched at the beginning of the year, and before Christmas you will have a new opportunity to discover Chinese, Japanese, Nepali, Ceylon and Indian teas from the world’s best plantations, and indulge in unlimited tasting for the price of a single ticket.

Besides some well-known, high-quality commercial brands, on Sunday you can also meet vendors and tea houses who purchase their supplies directly from Asia. Exhibitors will be showcasing the real diversity of teas, the richness of their flavours, and the differences in quality, processing and consumer habits too. Between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm on Sunday you can learn a lot about teas since the organisers are preparing a number of presentations and shows alongside the exhibitors’ stands.

At the stands you can look forward to exciting programmes, ranging from the professional preparation of matcha tea to a tai chi show or even tea and chocolate tastings.

Fans of English-style tea will find some great teas, tea services and accessories, while the Day of Tea will be an excellent occasion to get hold of your Christmas gifts as well.

Hungary boasts an increasing number of gourmet tea-drinkers, but the Day of Tea could be a special event for all those looking to open up towards the sophisticated and richly flavoured world of teas, besides their current interest in wine, coffee or gastronomy. Join the event for a whole day of tasting, learning and shopping, for the price of just two cups of tea!

Early-bird tickets are available until Sunday for HUF 2000. Tickets at the venue: HUF 2500.
