This is normally when the ticket sales start for the forthcoming charity Burns Supper for sick and underprivileged children, but as announced last month, this isn’t a normal year, and we can’t all meet up at the Corinthia Hotel like we usually do.
So if you can’t come to the Burns Supper, the 24th Annual Burns Supper is coming to you.
With the generous help of our supporters and sponsors, including the Corinthia Hotel, Arran Distillery, Diageo, Zwack, Kovács Nimrod Winery and Mellis Cheese, we’d like to present to you our Burns Supper Hampers!
If you think of our Burns Supper, what do you remember?
A champagne reception with canapés, a traditional haggis dish, an exquisite dessert, all accompanied by wine, whisky and pálinka, and rounded off with quality Scottish cheese with oatcakes, and some shortbread.
Well, it’s all yours to have. The hampers for two people contain all of the above, all ready for consumption, with the exception of the main haggis course that is vacuum-packed and simply needs warmed up and dished. So not even COVID can prevent you from enjoying your Burns Supper meal.
Content of every hamper (for two people):
- Selection of canapés, with a miniature bottle of Törley champagne
- Traditional haggis neeps and tatties with a creamy sauce
- Sea salted dark chocolate & whisky cake, clotted cream bonbon, wild berries and zesty oat granola
- Scottish cheddar cheese and oatcakes
- Shortbread
- Miniature bottles of Arran Robert Burns malt whisky, Johnnie Walker whisky and pálinka
- Two bottles (white and red) of Kovács Nimrod wine
The hampers for two people come with a recommended price of HUF 30,000, which includes a donation to the RBIF. While we would love to have you all at the Corinthia, this is the next best thing, and will enable the RBIF to continue making donations to children’s hospitals in Hungary in 2021, especially as we are missing out on the generous contributions of our corporate sponsors in January. We welcome any further donations you wish to make.
Order your hamper by 15th December!
The deadline for hamper orders is 15 December 2020 to enable us to make all the necessary arrangements before the end of the year, so please let us know as soon as possible how many hampers you would like to buy. The hampers will be ready for uplifting from the Corinthia Hotel on Saturday 23 January 2021.
