As we clear away the decaying pumpkins and cobwebs of Halloween, we look forward to a month of activities in and around Budapest to get you out of the house, stimulated, excited and involved. Some are more suitable for all the family than others. You decide. Several include a sausage.
Please, be aware of the current pandemic restrictions in November; most indoor activities require a vaccination or immunity certificate. Always check the current regulations.
Pálinka and sausage party
Have you ever been to a Pálinka and Sausage Party before? If not, then here is your chance to party with friends in a slightly different way. The Pálinka and Sausage party is happening from Thursday to Sunday, 11th to the 14th of November on SHO Beach (Bíró László József körút 4.).

Live music will also accompany the fun on Friday and Saturday. The entry is free.

The Nutcracker
With the festive Christmas period approaching, what better way to mark the festive season than to take the whole family to see the Nutcracker ballet. Tchaikovsky’s much-loved music is the background to a story which is set on Christmas eve, and the journey of Clara and her Nutcracker to the Land of Sweets.
This ballet was first performed in December 1892 and is still a must-see every year, even to this day. This year we are very lucky to have several options to see slightly different versions of the Nutcracker in Budapest. From the 26th of November to the 31st December, the Erkel theatre will present a classical version of the fairytale ballet, but with a few modern visuals and dance moves.
From 18th to the 28th of December the graduating Hungarian Dance Academy will star in their version of the Nutcracker at the Budapest Operetta Theatre. And finally, you can go and watch a recorded version of the original Bolshoi Ballet Moscow company at the Urania National Film Theatre on 26th December.
